hi
my hard drive is going, i have xp home, theres no updates and support anymore
i have to get a new drive as well
can windows 7 run course architect, is it right i need windows 7 professional, install the ca then the exe file run in xp mode.
read somewhere about virtual machine in windows 7, i dont have to install xp home as well on another partition do i, as i dont want to do it that way.
just need to check before i go out and buy software and hardware.
can someone reply asap as main drive got bad sectors and is labouring.
got backup of files just to make sure.

Yes compiling courses will not work on Win7. When you have the Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise version of Windows 7, you can use Windows virtual pc ( Virtual Machine ) to compile courses. When you have the Home version of Windows 7, you will have to compile your course on a system with XP.
Summary: When you have the Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise version of Windows 7, you can use Windows virtual pc, and you dont have to install XP on your PC. When you have the Home version of Windows 7, you will have to compile your course on a system with XP, or you will have to install XP aswell on your PC.
