hi
can someone please advise the best way to do elevation from a flat plot
i have been raising the tee box and surrounding area to elevate say 30 ft up so i get a down hill drive off the tee, but seem awkward doing it this way.get spikes and sharp creases.
i did also try 2 shape method with fairway and tee box , that seems better but haveing trouble
but i have a hole with a dogleg right, and i want the tee to the fist d-leg 30ft down then say from the d-leg another 4 ft down to green.
i made the fairway 1 shape from the tee all way down then right to the green, maybe it should be 2 fairway shapes, not sure.
i cant seem to find a tutorial on elevation from a flat plot.
plus need some help on green elevations and slopes, have been trying sgoats on green but is there any other help available
if someone could be kind enough to help me
thanks stephen |

Study all the tutorials and then practise the techniques. Use the 2 shape method to raise the tees and lower/raise greens. I place a small buffer shape/texture (say 3 foot) around my tees, then place the larger shape/texture. I use those 2 shapes to elevate the tees and the inner one to flatten to average height. I then smooth using the larger shape and if the tee is not perfectly flat I repeat the flattening process until it is. Optimize as usual, then remove both the created shapes and you will have an elevated flat tee. Personally I would not have a fairway that ran right up to the tee (sorry if I have misunderstood what you are saying). Hope this helps. |
