| I can't remember whether these boxes have to do with a particular tree from a library, or if it's some kind of compiling error. Or is it just my graphics card messing with me? |

shader level set too high?
but yeah - older library that doesn't show in 08 because of the change in the game engine |

| I have had that problem in the past and setting the shader level to low cured it |
