I have always always been able to bring back or get reflections on water on all my courses until now.. I have tried every trick I know of and have spent many hours doing so.. I have reflections on the main body of water that I need and on a couple of ponds but there are still several small ponds and streams that I am having no luck with.. If anyone knows of anything that is sure fire and wouldn't mind sharing it, I would be most grateful.
If not then they will just have to be dry, not really to big of a deal as I won't have a pond that doesnt reflect, I would rather make it dirt...
Thanks for any help..

this has worked for me at times. not always though but worth a try. creeks are the main problem. i drew a creek and lost reflections. what i did was draw a small circle in the creek and dropped it 2 feet. no opt . then compiled, reflections came back. deleting STA files may help. |

Forgive me because I'm sure you already did this... but always check the obvious first:
1. They are all the same water texture
and
2. The water is completely flat
If not, that's about the extent of my knowledge there lol |

Thanks Bobby. Funny, I have one stream that hasn't been flattened and one pond that hasnt' been flattened and they both have gr8 reflections but when I flatten the stream, I lose reflections on the ponds.. lol Oh well, dirt is just as good.. I've spent far to many hours trying to get every single pond or stream to reflect and have decided that I am not capable of fixing the couple that wont work...
Thanks for the help though. |

Eureka!! I've said before that the trick was to lower the water or bring it back up some, well in this case I just kept lowering and after many hours of giving up and going back, I just had to lower it enough. 14ft in this case and I still have reflections on the rest of my ponds.. Although there are a couple of ponds that will be dry as I am quitting while I'm ahead, I got the main ones to do what I wanted.. Hope this helps...
