I really like Cypress Point 08 and think Hiker Bob did a great job with it. In the course comments on the download page, however, reference is made too how great it is to see and hear the crashing waves. I can hear the crashing waves but I can't see them. What did I do wrong and what do I need to do to see them? |

Hiya... Look in the installed course folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Cypress Point 08
Inside you should find a file: cypress point 08.ini When this file is there it should show the crashing waves. When you installed the course with TWCaddie08, the file should be there, and it should show the crashing waves. You should see the crashing waves on: Hole 1...2....13...14...15....16...17...18 |

Found the problem, this is how you can see the crashing waves:
The ini file must have exactly the same name as the TCR file. First install the course Cypress point 08, and go to the installed course folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Cypress Point 08
Go inside the course folder ( Cypress Point 08 ) and add the ini file (cypresspoint.ini ) i attached in the zipfile ( see attached file )
After that you should see the crashing waves ( best hole to see the crashing waves is: Hole 17 ) |

Another way to see the crashing waves:
The ini file must have exactly the same name as the TCR file. First install the course Cypress point 08, and go to the installed course folder:
C:\Program Files (;x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Cypress Point 08
Inside folder Cypress Point 08 you will see a file: Cypress point 08.ini Right click this file and choose: Rename..........and rename it to: cypresspoint.ini
After that you should see the crashing waves (; best hole to see the crashing waves is: Hole 17 ) |

correct, the .ini file should have the same name as the .tcr file:
cypresspoint.ini cypresspoint.tcr
pls identify if you edit my post :) on my XP system, the names have the caps and spaces CLSetup, which some still use - the installer does not make changes to file names
Cypress Point 08.tcr Cypress Point 08.ini |

Yeah, that works :) Not sure the effect works so well though, looks ok on the steep rocky parts but not the shallow slopes on the beaches. |
