Well I have another question, I know big suprise but Im just trying to get this whole thing figured out as I think I would really enjoying putting together some good courses. Anyway, Ive thrown together a couple test holes just to see how things look and work when played in game and heres the problem.
For some reason on these holes the trees only show up when you are right on top of them. I know that its probably my system doing it as I have it set on automatic graphics settings. However my computer plays all courses including downloaded custom courses fine with all trees and objects showing up correctly with no problems. So that leads me to think that its something IM doing that is causing more draw on the cpu than other courses. (; I can turn graphics all the way up and they show up but with extreme lag.) Ive tried optimizing everything down to about 500 or less (;rough texture has about 4000, it doesnt seem to go any lower) and its just a basic hole with very little elevation. Also I only have about 40 trees over the entire fairway so I wouldnt think its too many trees. Any ideas? I really appreciate the time spent reading this and any help. Thanks -Jeff |

Then this would be my first question.. Are those trees from the stock 08 libraries?
Im no expert by any means but that was the first question that came to me..
2nd question: What graphix card do you have? Maybe that should have been the first question.
Im thinking since you usually run on auto it may be your card cant handle being turned up... But knowing info on graphix card may help..
I cant promise I know about graphix cards but that is just info that needs to be included. I hope I can help..

I've tried a few different trees and
I think I've tried some that were. The latest trees I have tried are from Greek Isles 2006 that I installed in the 08 library with Caddie.
Not 100% sure what Kind of graphics card, I believe its an Intel 4 series chipset one. I know its not a great one but it works to play other courses fine but for some reason my custom courses causes the trees to not show correctly. |

You should not use 06 trees unless you REALLY have too. And if you do, the shader in the game needs to be turned to LOW.

the intel chip severely limits your graphics :(
graphics settings (on main page - settings, or in game ctrl +O - lets oyu adjust tree detail etc etc
more detail = more graphics power needed |
