I seem to remember that several years ago there was a discussion of grass texture making in the LC that talked about how to make the angular or vertical mow strips that are often seen in grass fairways or greens on golf courses. I have searched for it but no luck. anyone else know where to find this info?

Just make half of your fairway.tga slightly darker or lighter.

You need to use a file such as the one I have attached here. Then use to create angular mow patterns. Then rotate the image 90 degrees and perform again to get cross mow patterns. Actually there are two included here, one for fairways and the other for greens.
