This may have been asked before but can CA06 be run usung Windows 7 o/s? If it can, will you explain how this is done for a PC system beginner?

it runs, but not properly. The librarian does not show correctly and it will not include a pano int he compiling. I use Windows 7 but keep a dual boot system with XP just so I can keep working on courses.

When you mention a dual boot system do you have 2 drives on the machine and go into the bios to change the drive priority, or have you got a partioned drive with both operating systems on the one drive?

It is possible to do with a partitioned drive. That way the computer sees the drive as two separate anyway. However, I recommend two physical drives because that way you have a backup if anything happens to one or the other.

Once the second OS is installed you should get a message during POST as to which OS you want to start.
