I'm sure many of you have seen this website, but I just stumbled across it!..It has satellite images of just about any golf course you can think of.It also has a distance measuring tool that could be useful. There is a course search box at the top to find international courses...Check it out!

That is sweet. I couldn't find the measuring tool, and I wonder if you can get the coordinates and use it in the TA? I might even design another course if you can.. This stuff looks awesome.. |

When you go to a course on the site, click 1 time to set the initial point then click again on a second point and the site will calculate the distance between the two points. |

Larry it looks like a Google Maps image to me, I thought that Google Earth was needed for co-ordinates??? |

Yes, as far as I know, only Google earth gives the coordinates.. This would have been cool if it did also, as the imagery is gr8!!! Where google earth is a hit and miss... Its a nice find anyway..
however it may very well come in super handy after you have laid out your course, but I spent a lot of time trying to find courses that show up good in google earth, to much time for me.. But after you found one that you could draw into the TA, this site would be gr8 for better imagery.. |

You can find international courses but you have to type it in the search box at the top of the page....I typed in Scotland/St Andrews and the overhead image was pretty clear....//Here is the 18th@St. Andrews!Notice the measuring points at 362 yds. |
