I am working on a hole, par 5, 613 yards, it shows up as 573 in the game, scorecard shows 613. I have tried different angles with the shot path, i even got it to 700 and it still shows up as 573. Also moved the tee box back. This is a real course so i'm wanting to get the yardage right. Does anyone know why the game does this. It seems its always 20 or more yards off on par 5's. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

The playing yardage is not what the in game yardage shows. No matter what you do, the in game yardage will always be as the crow flies. In previous versions of TW we were able to include an ini file that forced to scorecard to reflect whatever we told it, and even tell it what handicap for each hole was. But we can no longer do that.

Ok, it's been a while...
But I think you still do it the exact same way. The ini file either needs to be named exactly the same as the tcr file or exactly the same as the name of the golf course. I can't remember which, but it's one of the two. Check out Whistling Straits with the ini file. I'm pretty sure the yardage and handicaps are set... |

What is suggested is correct. Copy an ini file from another course. Rename it the same as the course name in the CA course properties. Compile the course in CA. This forces the notepad to record the hole details e.g OB, shot paths and the like. Open the ini file in notepad. Change the yardages and handicaps as desired. Save and close the file. Highlight the file and right click to show the file properties. Check the box read only and close. Re-compile the course in CA and the game game scorecard will show the desaired yardages.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |
