I was wondering, if I wanted to use say the Laurel Ridge pano 07 for a course, does the size of the course have any bearing on it..meaning the initial size being 1500x1500.

No, usually I start out with the max size and downsize using course perimeter as needed. The pano has no effect on the size of the plot.

you'd probablly never need to go bigger than 2500 x 2500....that's a good place to start.

You can add space as you go, but only to the top and right sides.

Under "tools" you can create course perimeter. Save first cause once you do it, it can't be undone. Usually best to do this at the end of the course so you can trim as many points as possible.

take care not to go "too" close to any holes as this will create a void in the Pano and kind of looks bad....thats why you save first so you can try different perimeters.

rock on

The Max is 4000 x 4000

Everyone has a different design philosophy... I like to start out big and trim and BGrav is a bit different. Experiment and you'll find what you like.

You never want to go over 2700 in either direction or you get a weird texture band on the top or right side. This can cause lag or issues with the course.
