This topic has been discussed some, but no one has mentioned anything like this (that I have found).
I used TW Caddie08 to install several courses, figuring that I can use them outside of my PGA Tour career mode and just have fun with some variety. Well, recently, I decided to delete my career player and start a new one. When I did that, my home course came up as one of the custom courses, even though I didn't pick that course. I had selected Westchester and got one of my custom courses. How did this happen?? Did something get messed up in the registry?? Now, I have tried going through the process of creating a new player and selecting each of the preinstalled courses, which is all I have to select from, and each named course is actually matched up to some other course. So, in career mode, I can use custom courses, but have lost the ability to use half of the preinstalled courses. Can I fix this??
I am attaching the .pdf file with the matches for my courses.
Thanks, Jason |

I wonder what will happen when you uninstall the custom courses ? Will you have the stock courses back in career mode? ...no sure though. |

Ok, so here is an update...
I have figured out how to use custom courses in the career mode and have the list actually show them as options.
!!!THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION, AS EDITING YOUR REGISTRY MAY HAVE UNDESIRED RESULTS WHICH COULD HARM YOUR COMPUTER, SO DO NOT TRY THIS IF ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR REGISTRY!!!
There is an entry in each folder in the registry labeled InHouse. All courses that are installed with the game have a REG_DWORD Decimal value of 1. Custom courses have a REG_DWORD Decimal value of 0. If you change that value to 1 on the custom courses, they show up in the career mode and dont mess up any of the preinstalled courses.
I hope that this is ok to post, but it works on my machine and it seems there are a lot of people very interested in doing this.
UPDATE: This change, also, makes it so you are unable to delete these custom courses with TW Caddie08. You have to make the switch back to a value of 0 to delete it. |

tried that a long time ago, even set all stock courses to inhouse 0 and customs to inhouse 1, all that happened was the customs became available as home courses when setting up a new player but the same old stock ones still showed up in a new career. |

Well, I just started my new career and I am using one of the custom courses as my home course. Are you saying that the courses weren't usable at all or did they not show up once you got to the PGA part of your career??
I do have an update about my previous post...I am able to select the custom courses for my career player, but the list is limited to 14 (the number of original courses) and is a mix of custom and original. |

All courses that i changed to a value of 1 are selectable as a home course when creating a new player but none of them show up or are selectable in the PGA Tour calender, the tour always starts with Doral, Sawgrass etc. etc.
The tour is predetermined in an uneditable PGA.gcf file. |

Gotcha. Well, I wish that I could change the number of listed home courses and be able to select anything. I guess that I can deal with the PGA calendar being what it is. |
