hey all:
Have gotten underway on this request of mine. Thought I'd send in some pics of hole #1. These are not the textures that will be used on the course but I needed some preliminaries so I could see whats going on. The library for this course is under construction by Steve and I cant wait to see it. But anyway. The first pic is from the first tee to the fairway, then the view of the approach, then the green area where the bunkers are trying to take shape. Could use some input on the bunkers, as from what I can see, I need to give them a bit more vertical slope, one more time. Lots of work to do yet. Just wanted to let ya see the opening hole.

The water doesnt look like it is reflecting from here? If not, you can try flattening again and lowering or raising it by a few feet, almost always works for me to get reflections back.
If it is reflecting then nevermind. lol. Looking very good though Mark.. Not sure about the bunker lips, they look blurry from here?
Are those rock textures? Maybe some closer ups?
The tee boxes look and blend in very good from here..:)
1 more thing, is the fairway supposed to wrap around the green? Thats what it looks like from the website?

I will be helping out a bit on this one. There are two silos and maybe a few other structures, plus I will see about putting together a texture set that may or may not be used for the project. Just trying to help out a fellow designer.
I make the same offer to any others as well. I enjoy making libraries for others almost as much as making courses for myself.

well bro... the bunkers have an elevated lip on them but those are not the textures I have planned on using on them as Steve is in process of building the library that contains those textures. Was just posting some pics so you can see what its gonna be like. Thanks for the input though. You were right however, that the fwys do wrap around the greens, as I saw on the website. It was just really hard to see it on the TA. I have made those changes though Axe and I appreciate you pointing that out to me bro. Thank you for your input on this post, and Steve, I really do appreciate you effort on the library and Jimbos effort on getting the DEM gathered for me.
