I was just wondering what types of championship (read US Open, PGA, British Open) style courses people would like to see. From what I have noticed almost all of the big name courses seem to have been completed to some degree in the last say 4 years. Are there any courses out there that might be:
A. Not accurate (please no badmouthing though) B. Outdated C. Never released
As of right now, I have several projects going on and have not spent too much time on them, but I know some designers are always looking for some motivation. |

some time ago I asked if anyone is considering Ballybunion. I think this is supposed to be a fantastic links venue and would love to see it here on TW. thanks for any consideration to this request. |

The Highland Course at The Atlanta Athletic Club. Was last done for TW05. Will load up in TW07, but with missing textures, is really unplayable that way. The only other one that I can think of that I'd like to see done is Champions Golf Club-Cypress Creek Course. It used to alternate hosting the Tour Championship with East Lake. |

Not much
Blackwolf Run, finished laying out... elevation and planting on hole 5 or 6 Longaberger, finished laying out... elevation and planting on hole 1
I think Atlanta would be interesting since the PGA Championship is heading there in the next few years... keep them coming |

Dude, I was going to try my hand at a new version of Oakmont but I just cant do real courses the way they need to be done. However, you are great at it, and thanks for always making sure we have The Straits course - I love that one, and just for making all the bunkers, and doing them so well, you should get some sort of award! But if you want to consider Oakmont, there is literally a ton of helpful stuff on the web to get it tight.
Whatever you decide on, keep em coming! |

Gentlemen,
I know I am biased, but a couple of championship courses here in the Highlands of Scotland are worthy of consideration …
The Nairn Golf Club http://www.nairngolfclub.co.uk/index.php
Founded in 1887, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland, and has hosted a large number of important championships. Will host the Curtis Cup in 2012.
The Royal Dornoch Golf Club http://www.royaldornoch.com/
Formed in 1877, Dornoch has now been a Royal club for over 100 years. Records show that the incredible natural landscape that defines golf in Dornoch has hosted golfers since 1616.
Regards John |

There's a coincidence, I was actually thinking of trying Royal Dornoch, which if it wasn't so far North would certainly be on the Open Circuit. It will be a few weeks before I can get round to starting it, but I will eventually. |
