Hi, I want to open an existing course in the 06 architect...
I still use twpga 06 because of the career editor.. and i like to play on very dry for the challenge... I love alot of the player created courses but some of the greens for very dry play need a bit of tweeking otherwise you cant get a ball to stay on the green unless you use a nail gun :)
Is there a way to open a .tcr course for a little adjusting...
Thanks... |

Hi Rubulator2k There is no way you can adjust that file. Once the course designer has finished a course they 'compile' it in the Course Architect and the working course file (.tca) becomes a .tcr file. Even the designer can't get back into a .tcr file they have to go back to the the .tca file to make any adjustments. |

Percisely... this isnt national security... its a golf game... If I did a course I could care less if someone downloaded it and made changes (if they could)... as long as they didn't repost it, who cares... And to that end, if you got permission from the original designer even that wouldnt be an issue...
If you could change them, then my answer would be... if your that anal that you dont want people to be able to fondle your course... dont make it public...
I just want to tweek it for my personal use... Not steal it, repackage it, and sell it on the black market...
Peace... R2K |

Hmmm, you asked if there was a way to go in and change someones course to make it how you want it. I said "Not really because then, anyone would be able to go in and change a designers course"
I got no clue what your talking about after that. Why didn't you just ask the designer of the course you wanted to go and change? |

You know what, I have no ability to do these courses on my own, and I'll danged if I'm gonna say anything that might make the gifted designers on here stop sharing their hard work with us, FREE OF CHARGE. Stop whining and just appreciate the hard work. |

This is turning into kind of a flame war (not from the designers, but from the original topic starter), so i am closing this topic. |
