I just got a new pc, with windows7 OS, and I'm having problems installing courses with it. TW08 installs and plays just fine, and I can dwnld and install TW Caddie, but when I try to install a dwnlded course with it, I get an error message (TW08 not correctly installed) and the program stops. Is there a solution for this problem? |

I checked out the threads there, but none of them appear to refer to my problem, which is that when I open TW Caddie I first get the message "TW08 not correctly installed on this computer, program will now close." I wait and then I get the message: "System Exception: You have no courses installed for TW PGA Tour 2008 by TW08Caddie.GetRegInfo.GetCourses()" When I click OK, Caddie tells me: "No Courses Found." I then get a box that lets me choose between "abort" and "continue", but when I click "continue" the Caddie just freezes. I tried installing a stock course, but it still freezes. I have Windows 7 professional installed. |

I have Windows 7 Professional too, and when I installed, got the same error, my windows 7 has 2 Program file folders, check to see if the courses are installed in the x86 folder, and point caddy there. |

Both TW08 and caddie are installed in the (x86) folder. I can't really point the caddie anywhere, because it gives me error messages as soon as I open it. Microsoft seem to believe that the old adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' can't possibly apply to them, lol. |

try shutting down the user account control i had this issue with vista heck I couldn't even get the caddy to install until I shut it off. 1st thing I did when I installed windows 7 is shut off the uac. I have no issues with it and the caddy. Now I will say as a disclaimer that if you have sensitive data or do not want others in your house to change program settings or whatever than leave uac on. I do not have this issue. |

I'm not sure if you have thus working or not, but i have winows7. I had to get the 64 bit beta caddy & I not to install TW caddie to the (None x86) programs file folder. Also if you have saved courses from a old OS. Some will work others won't. Might just be me but i can't download myzip files. I have to download from the Select Location which is to the left side of all of the check marks for libraries when you go to download a course. Hope this helps!! |

Right click TWCaddie.exe file and install as administrator....also turn off UAC, user account control.
This was posted in forum how to run TWCaddie.exe as administrator for Vista......about same for Windows7:
The program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally: C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file: TW Caddie 08.exe
(VISTA 64 BETA) TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says: Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista.
