I downloaded Paint Shop Pro 2xPhoto. I was able to bring my
map into it, but when I tried to save it as a .tga file a got
a message that says it could only save it as 8 mb file, not 16
mb. When I tried to pull this file onto the wireframe grid,
I only got 2 colors; one very dark. Didn't atall look like
the pictures in the tutorial. Any ideas? Do I need to get the
full PSP program (vs 30 day trial version)?

Try downloading free Paint.NET software, it works fine for me.
