Hi all, I would like to play my local courses in TWPT 08, and am willing to pay to get a few of my local courses. But the last time I asked, someone said that Course Architect prevents the course designer from selling the course.
But because my desire for the local courses has stepped up a notch recently, I now wonder: is it also illegal for someone to offer his service as a course architect rather than the finished course? What if the work was the course architect file, which I just compile on my machine?
Thank you for your advice and interest. -Henry |

I am not 100% sure on this but I would assume that still violates the EULA (right acronym???)
What courses are you looking for and could you post a link in case any designers have some free time? |

Violates the EULA. Courses cannot be sold. |

I have seen courses created using the Custom Play Golf designer show up on real course websites as flyovers or hole layouts. Not sure what their EULA states in regards to this, but there are those doing it. I know this for a fact.
And no, I am not one of them. |

Thank you for your reply. I would like to get Sunnyvale municipal course and the Sunken Gargens, which are both in Sunnyvale CA. I am also interested in Black Berry Farm and Deep Cliff golf courses, which are in Cupertino CA. None of them are championship courses; I would doubt that any non-local will take an interest.
I understand the EULA prohibits sale of course, but it's weird that it can also dictate what one can do with his time--why couldn't I pay for someone's expertise in creating a TWPT course? It's a shame... |

Because you are still paying for a course, which is prohibited by the EULA. You can say that you are paying for his time, but if his time is used to create a course and you are getting the course in the end then you are paying for the course. That is prohibited. |
