Please see the attached pic showing the initial camera flyover on the 1st hole. If I set the shader level to medium or above on my new course (Adams Island) I get these black rectangles showing in place of the plants. As the camera gets nearer they change to the actual plant. If I change the shader setting to low the black rectangles don't show. I am concerned that if I upload this course anyone using the medium or higher shader setting may have the same problem. Has anyone any idea what is causing this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Jimbo63

Thanks for the reply Gunpower61, but I think this has more to do with the plants than the land plot, as each black rectangle turns into the actual plant as the camera gets nearer.

Hi...
Yes i believe you are correct.
There are 3 well known problems with TW08 custom courses:
Water not reflecting/ rippling
Structures are dark or black
Vegetation dark or black boxes
All problems can be solved by setting Shader level low or medium ( depends what graphics card is used )

Thanks Gunpower61. It seems that if you use some of the more up-to-date libraries for buildings then they appear OK on medium shader setting, but older libraries have to be set on low shader setting or they will appear as black. Axe360 has kindly emailed the game settings for his TW2008. Once I had adjusted to these settings I can play the game with the shader level on medium without any black rectangles. I will attach screenshots of the game settings as they may be of use to anyone else who gets this problem in future. Depth of Field set to Off, plus other settings as shown in 2 screenshots.

The moral of this story is.. If you see black buildings or plants like the above pic, then turn your shader to Low..

YW Pat...:)
