Hello Again,
Over the next few months going to attempt to create a website that is just for old classic golf videos. In the process will be restoring and editting up many old major championships. The video vault is over 20 + years of Broadcasts. It is just an insane amount of golf footage. The main focus is British Opens and Masters.

I would love to see the 1 that "The Golden Bear" drove the green on the 18th hole with Gary Player as his twosome partner. Can't remember the year. What a drive 440 or something with a gusty wind behind him. Gary's 2nd shot was a long punch with a 2 iron. Great golf!!

i would be very interested in watching these vidios and think it would be a great site,as for nicklause driving the 18 th green i think it was at st andrews open 1970 where i think he drove tjhe 18th on all 4 rds doug sanders missed a 3 ft putt to win it on 18 th and resulted in a 18 hole playoff with nicklause next day they were leval going to 18 sanders hit 1 right down middle 30 yds short of green niclause then bombed another this time thru the green 366 yds chipped to 4 ft and won by a stroke sadly it was sanders final chance and his career fizzeled out after this..i dont think he ever got over that 3 ft putt

Trying to learn how to create a website is not easy. Yikes it is all new to me...I have a few Nicklaus things. A recap of his career at the British and than I may have some rare footage from that 1970 Open, not really sure. I'll post back when I get some more videos for the site and get the thing actually running....
Really trying to improve the quality of the videos. It is taking forever to rip them cause I am going in to more detail (more megs) and really trying to fix up the old VHS stuff.
I wish I had some kind of funding for this like $15,000 to $20,000. I just know with a lot better equipment and software, I could really clean up some of the stuff...Actually could always use more footage...The biggest issue is the quality of the footage...Basically need a professional studio, to really do this right.
I think I have like 700 videos posted at YouTube and many of them need to be replaced or fixed up, this is too big of a project for 1 person.

Really enjoyed watching some of your stuff on youtube, great job.
Particularly enjoyed watching Paul Lawrie's 2nd shot on 18th at Carnoustie 1999 playoff.

Carnoustie 1999, I wanted to re-do the entire playoff. I just love it. To me Carnoustie 99 is the ultimate cult classic. At some point I will do all 4 rounds of this event.
Was able to get a really nice S-VHS recorder fixed, they still run about $1,800. It improves the picture quality big time, however it doesnt work on all the tapes.
Right now trying to restore the 1992 British.
Pretty much gave up on the 93 British, after working over 100 hours on it. Decided to called in the help of a professional. The tape is in bad shape and to attempt to restore the 6 hours of coverage it is going to cost about $130. Who knows what the video restorer can do with it.
The website is not officially open yet, however for my lack of web design skills, it is turning out ok. I pulled about 500 video from YouTube in the attempt to try to fix them up. Learning a lot, however putting this project together is just about impossible.
Still need a high end betamax player to do about 120 to 150 videos. I just know that you need to best possible system for playback in order improve the picture.
Good news, was able to fix up the 1995 British that tape was in bad shape, and the end result turned out pretty good considering. Was also able to restore the 98 Masters.
The 1st goal is to improve some of these video tapes and getting them on DVD. Part 2 is to retore them for online streaming, than share them. The footage is just rare cause not many people if any has copies of this stuff..
You can help! If you have old recordings please contact me, even if they are in bad shape, sometimes they can be fixed....
That is it for now......

The website has been out for a while, it is a growing project and I don't have all the time in the world, to add thousands of hours of video. Over time the content will grow. Right now it is really small, than with the news of Tiger last week, to be honest lost all the mojo, he has been a big part of golf over the last 10 years, kind of disappointed to be honest. Over the next 2 weeks really hope to double the content on the site. That is now my push to get to mojo back.
Check it out!

Ok haven't been around in a while. Got the 1970 British were Nicklaus drives the 18th green. Just did the 89 PGA, 1990 & 92 Masters, and bunch of other stuff. Kind of busy with different things, not much planned for future releases...Maybe the 69 British film & 77 British coverage not the highlights (that is already uploaded)...Who knows maybe install the Tiger Woods game on the PC and design a course...I don't know....
Just remastered the 1994 US Open Final Round and playoff, have come a long way in the last few months, it is DVD quality, it is pretty amazing, not sure if it will be uploaded since it is over 6 hours....
Anyway this is good one, of Sir Nick

Oh Sorry, Carnoustie 99, was able to get some new hardware (Time Base Corrector), which improved the picture big time. When Van de Velde "His Mind Goes Numb" was released, didn't have this setup. So just maybe the ultimate Golf Cult classic....
However did a 3 part Carnoustie Saga in the Star Wars theme it is Star Wars meets Flash Gordon, here is part 1 of the Carnoustie Trilogy.
