| I have just noticed this comment on my course Arnside Lakes 'I heard it was a nice course....but a lot of us are having trouble loading the game. There seems to be a conflict somewhere. Maybe you can sort it out and let us know.' I wondered if anyone had any advice to solve this loading problem. Best regards, Jimbo63 |

Hi Jim...
I had no problems at all with the course, it played very well.
Most common reason for not loading are:
Not all libraries are installed correct
i noticed one thing: the course file (;.tcr) is big sized: 18 mb
I wonder if you used the tool in Course architect: Optimize detail
How to do that:
open you course with course architect06 and right click on any spot and choose: Optimize detail
set slider: Detail points to the centre.....and check box: include children
Do this on all holes....fairways......and dont forget the surrounding rough.
When you finished optimze detail......compile your course and the size will be reduced to 5 - 10 mb |

| Thanks Gunpower61. Yes I used the optimizing tool throughout. I think it is a large file because there is so much detailed work on the course (eg lakes in rocks with islands on etc. which I presume would increase the file size?) |
