| When uploading a new course should it be supplied as a TCR file or TCX. Following the guide available as a PDF download from the site, I supplied TCR files for Arnside Lakes but have now seen a comment on my course about supplying TCX files. Can someone please clarify this for me. Best regards, Jimbo63 |

Hi Jim....
You uploaded in the correct format ( .tcr )
We are not using the compressed format anymore ( .tcx )
The reason we don t use .tcx anymore is that we can t see what is inside the uploaded file.
So tcr format is correct. |

The instructions in the Course Manager upload pages are, I believe, out-dated, and still refer to using the Course Utilities program to compress to TCX. Perhaps one of the admins might update these. The Course Upload Guide PDF I posted (;credit to JS Jarvis) is what we need to follow.

HI - i am uploading my 2003 created courses for the first time. i have followed every step in the instructions and resulted in a .zip compressed file. the course is 12mb in total and the compressed just over 4mb. when i press 'submit' a message appears that is too quick to read, then disappears. but there is no verification of a failed or successful upload.
please can you advise me? the file is Eaton Park.zip
thanks everyone for the courses. wanted to do this for years but never had the time. nice to give a little back. 2003 is still me favourite out of all TWs - thanks for sharing. K.Eaton soffpro1@hhotmail.co.uk |
