This means that the size of your images have to be in powers of 2: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 512, 1024 etc. Your pano has 12 sections. If they are 1024x1024 each, your total pano size has to be 1024 by 12x1024 pixels, which is 12,288 pixels if my calculator does not betray me. All images for the LC have to be powers of two, so if you do terrain textures or 3D objects the texture images have to be at least 256x256 pixels. |

yes, typically 1024x1024 (12288 total width) but 512x512 works also

Thanks for the response. That tutorial really helped. Got it to work by using the ruler guides as shown below. The image came out fuzzy in the game. Need to find some better quality images. |

yes, it takes some practice to translate between what you see in the LC/Photoshop and how it comes out in the game you need very large images and often will have to repeat sections of them ie use the marquis tool to form a rectangle around a section copy, paste - free transform - flip it horizontal (so the ends mesh better) then can overlay some trees or whatever on top just watch for seam lines, use some of the PS tools to heal or blur those
good luck |

google earth: http://earth.google.com/ use it to zoom in on the area (course, similar location etc), there will be image links showing various views of the area/location
google image search, search term (location name) panoramas or panoramas
2 good links, worthwhile to register flickr - has a large pano section: http://www.flickr.com/groups/extremelylargepanoramas/ panoramio: http://www.panoramio.com/ (google earth will often link to images hosted on the above 2 sites)
look for large dimensions, usually large file sizes too http://lifeinmegapixels.com/location.php?location=rudel 27053x8778 ¦ 237MP An ancient farm house and barn in the Lot et garonne region of aquitaine, France |

i like to use the large images, depends on whether you need a long section or just some shorter pieces to blend together (watch those seam lines LOL) - you get better clarity and more to work with, even though you do resize them usually in making the pano |
