Hi, now i try to create my first course, my home course in Austria. It was a 36 hole course, i know, this i very big, but i'll try it. Well, i have draw most of the holes, i think i have about 70% and now i want to export this shapes (for now 210 shapes) and i get a "runtime error 105 - file does not exist at line 1228."
Does anybody know this error and what can i do? When i export a few shapes there was no problem. Is it possible that this 210 file are too much? But i must create the rest of the holes, 6 to 18. And for this a must create about 60 to 80 shapes. Altogether i have about 300 shapes. Hmmm.. what can i do, to export this shapes?
Can i export hole for hole and merge the many *.ca files? For now, i have no idea.
I hope, anyone have a solution for this problem.
Many thanks in advance. |

First off, you can only export maybe a dozen or so at a time, but then you can use the queue button to add a dozen or so more, and keep doing this until you have as many (I think) as 250. However, have you exported to a file and then opened and dropped the previous shapes yet? If there are any floating shapes on a file you try to export to you will get an error.
When I use TA I map out the entire course first. Then I will export the shapes by type. I will export all the bunkers. Then open the file in the CA and drop all the bunkers and change the texture to what I want. Then save the file. Then back to TA and export all the tees, and repeat. Then then fairways; well you get the idea. But if you don't drop those shapes onto the plot, it will not work the next time you try to export.
Other than that, maybe someone else has a different answer for you.
Good luck. |

Im pretty sure its because your not Renaming your tca after choosing Export..
Here, this is just an example as I dont have the TA up and running. You have to imagine that you tca is already inside the big window here.
When you hit Export and this window comes up, you then browse to your tca, open it up in this window, clik on it, then down below you have to give it a different name, then save it.. Then you go back and find the newly renamed tca and open it up and drop your shapes.. |

Hi, thanks for your answers. And yes, i rename the file. I found the great tutorial here and work with this. Perhaps i should create a new "flat.ca" and try it again.
I'll inform you, if this works. I hope, it works. |

Hi, now ive tested again and follow two export files, see attachement. First, the gold course and second the diamond course. But i need this two courses in one file.
When i export all shapes with TA i get an error. Also i try to export only the holes without ways and other things, but it doesnt work.
Is it possible to export, as sample the gold course save this in CA as gold.tca export the diamond course and use this gold.tca to add the diamond shapes?
That, was you see in the jpg file is make with photoshop. |

First, could you please tell us what exactly fixed the problem you had with the Runtime Error 105?
2nd, When you first map out your coordinates, wouldn't you just include both courses? I don't know that there would be enough room to make them both on 1 plot, but that would be my suggestion..
Peace |

Sure, you can create two courses in the CA but they would have to be saved under different names. And you can only define a maximum of 18 holes for one course. You could have as many holes on the course as you want, but it really isn't at all practical since only 18 can be played. The rest will just add to the overall point count and terrorize lower end machines with low frame rates - maybe high end ones as well. |

Hi Peace, i have the runtime error still again. When i export this two courses together i got the runtime error. I think, my 341 shapes are too much. :( I'm thinking how i can reduce the shapes and what can i leave out. Should this not work, my next idea was ghostit. I export most of the shapes and draw the missing shapes with help from ghostit, so my theory.
Hope it works. To save this course in two different names, this has i thought. Should this all not work, so i'll save the gold and diamond course as stand-alone course. |

If you make two courses on the same plot you are going to have numerous problems. You should definitely use 2 separate plots :) |
