Hi All,
I am a new course designer and never get to complete a course for some reason or another, I usually get some kind of error and have to start over. This last one I finally got 18 holes but the problem that seems to occur to often is that on some holes the terrain is missing.......u can c the vegetation but it in not sitting on any terrain, it is just sitting out in space or thin air, I cannot figure out why it does this and does anyone else c this problem and how can it b fixed. The course I designed has alot of elevation changes and sometimes I get to close to the edge of the map, does this effect this?.... Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Rambo909plyr08 Ken |

May I recommend that you read this tutorial from Homeboy? http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=491
I suggest you read the entire tutorial but paragraph 20 is what will help you.
If you still need help let us know.. |

You say you get close to the edge of the map? That will lead to problems with a funky bowl texture showing up between the bottom of the pano and your terrain. On my first course I had to delete 3 holes that got too close to the edge. I then extended the plot boundary to the right and built 3 new holes to fix the problem. Try to give yourself 10% of the plot outside the perimeter. This area does not need to have much elevation detail or planting. |

Nuttywoody is right in his answer to your part of the question that refers to having holes to close to the edge of the plot. If I may add, doing that will also show up on your overhead map as black/usually.
But for the first part of your question, where you say you have missing terrain Around holes, with only the trees showing up, but not on any terrain. I think you will find your answer in the referred to tutorial from Homeboy..
