Wondering if anyone may know of the bug which just sends you to the desktop mid game on the custom courses?
I have this happen on Carnoustie all the time? no other course does this and I have unistalled all related textures/models etc then re-installed to no avail.
Anyone else had similar probs which they have resolved.
T.I.A for any help

It is a tough course to render, some other people had problems also,see course comments on link below.

It's been so long since I played this one...I kind of over did this course with stuff.....
A few things:
1) Make sure you don't have a confidence that is always getting bigger, this will crash the course when u are putting out....(What is the confidence folder? ask around how to fix that for each player, I forget how to do it to be honest)
2) Make sure you set the rough to medium or low
3) Than maybe turn down some of the other settings. (aka Tree settings)
You really need to mess around with the settings...for the most part the course usually works, but sometimes it can crash low to medium end systems pretty easy.....
When I created this back in 2005, the main goal was to make a really stiff test for a video game. My goal was to make the player miss the fairways and make scoring really hard. The fairways are point blank narrow. The course was built to be fair, but with wind a stern test...

Intel Dual Core,XFX 260 Black Edition,4gigz ram,1 Terrabyte HDD,XO pro Service pack 3.
Nvidia Drivers 190.38.
Will try and alter some of these setting thats stated,seems like a good one to start from thxs |
