Just thought I would post some shots of a new fantasy course I am working on, to get used to the architect program.

I have 9 holes laid out and planted, the other 9 are laid out and elevation work done, I just need to do some planting work, and add structures.

Let me know any thoughts or comments.

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys,

Sorry, I just had a look and realised in Paint Shop Pro, that I had the .jpeg files set for low quality. I will post the better quality ones now.

Thanks again

These shots are taken from the first 9 holes. I have now planted out the 10th and 11th holes. I just need to add the structures, tee boxes and finishing off some areas before either releasing or putting the course up for testing.

Looks cool buddy, and looks pretty good with you just starting. Keep up the killer work, and isn't designing TW courses one of the coolest things in the world.... :)

I've been taking the last 2 weeks or so off with designing my 1st course while trying to learn TA, structures, other designing techniques, and getting somewhat of a grip on how to play expert TW. Expert play has totally changed how I see a course design so I had to learn this before moving forward. Been fun, but now it's time to start designing like a mad man again.

Happy designing my fellow design brother

Yeah, I'm really enjoying making the course. I have started another one, more of a links style, but put it on the backburner so I can finish this one off.

I am looking at the TA and things shortly, because I wouldn't mind having a go at a couple of real course renditions of some Australian courses. Though after looking through some peoples comments, especially over the PGAX course, I don't know whether I would want to give it a shot. I don't believe that some people will rant and rave over something not being 100% accurate, which is very difficult to do on a real course. I have found just trying to do some green elevation work on my fantasy course, that I have to change the look completely because it would be too difficult for computer golf to play.

I am going to have a look at joining the PGAX tour as well, so I can download and play their courses, because I enjoy them. It's also the closest I'll get to playing the real thing. I might finish this course off and then look at that. Better get practicing on expert though and build my player up a bit before attempting that though.

Well enough of my rant, I'll post some more shots later of a couple of other holes I have planted.

If you want to tackle real courses one day, don't let spats that happen here stop ya buddy.
No matter what ya do it's going to upset someone so it's all good.... :)

No need to build you players stats up for PGAX. Everyone plays at 75% attributes on tours, but I would practice very dry greens because it's just like PGA greens on PGAX. Very fast so ya gotta have touch like your rubbing your sweet things body. Much touch it takes, but once you get used to the, those greens rock.........

Good luck buddy

Hey guys,

I am having a problem with playing my final layout of my course, and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on it.

I have compiled the course on my xp machine, and gave the course a test run on TW06, which ran fine. I have installed the course on TW08, but when the loadin screen comes up, a box pops onto the screen saying that Tiger Woods has stopped working, and returns to the desktop.

I have tried changing the tree detail settings etc, but doesn't seem to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Axe,

No periods in the name. I have saved the final file as three different names in case I had a problem.
