During yesterday's AT&T National, Jim Nantz had interviewed Tiger and made light that this tourney would be moving to the Philadelphia area to Aronimink Golf Club for the next 2 years. Tiger briefly talked about the course and said it was a pretty difficult course and would give you all you wanted. Do any of you designers think you all could hammer this one out in the future? Thanks, in advance.

Played this one a few times. It is a hard one for sure! It is really long, hilly and you need to hit good shots with long irons.

That's a sweet looking course indeed, and it's got bunker style I love, cool grass lipped bunkers that just scream mean........:)
Looks like it would be a great course to make, and I can't wait until figure out TA & get a better grip with how Google Earth works, so I can try real courses one day.......

poohween,

I have vista on PC, and need to somehow get the virtual PC thing working in order to even run the CA program.

Plus:
I dont remember it that well to build it for the pc game. Back in the day, I used to have a lot of info on the courses I did, manly tons of TV coverage. I was never a TA guy and did it all by hand from looking and listing to old broadcasts. Granted that google earth or whatever it is, can get you some nice pictures and one can see what trees kind of go in specific places. (;That kind of helped on some of the newer releases)

Because of the lack of info and pictures something like Aronimink Golf Club would be hard for one to create. To try to build a course from a TA landplot with google earth, with no pictures you are going to have a lot of guess work. When you do guess work it is usally off. I tried this one time in my design career. The course was pretty good but after seeing and playing the real thing, it was sadly off big time.

Cool
It looks like a sweet course, and it will be on my huge list of many course I still have yet to play for sure. Love them mean looking bunkers on that course indeed.

Maybe one day when I get to know things like these accomplished designers do. I can take up request too, because I think this is very cool that someone can bring someone course to them in this TW game. This way everyone can enjoy the course like the person who wants it does in RL.......
Very cool concept in my opinion.......:)

Well lets just say this, I just watched on YOUTUBE the TW2010 game, and their Bethpage course looked nothing like the real thing. They are the Pros at this....Trust me you cant build these courses blind. Your details are going to be so off.

I have nothing planned for designing since I cant complile on Vista.

People think just cause someone releases a real course it is deemed to be accurate.

Actually, those trees on the outside of the corner were removed just this year for preparation to the open. Hard to say for sure, but since the time EA got the info and laid the course out the trees were removed. If you look at almost all info on google earth, etc the trees are there. I also wouldn't go to far calling the course creators at EA pros. They are computer programmers/3d modelers and total accuracy has never been their thing

Nice video Hyno, the one thing I don't see is the two toned fairways?
