Yeah, that looks real nice, and the way it's going down a hill is cool looking. Plus, I like the look of the fuzzy grass on the top.
I haven't even attempted a retaining wall yet, but would like to put one in my design one day. Seems like a tedious process with having to make sure everything is lining up at the top & all the way back against the ground, but worth the results for what it brings to a courses design. Those little touches like that is what takes it up another notch for me when looking around on a course.

Oh yeah, Is the green right behind the wall there in front of the other bunker because I love blind shots when playing on a course in TW 2008 & real life golf too. At least we don't have to walk all the way up to see the green while playing TW......:P

The green is some distance behind that wall. Here's another one, next to a bunker. These are hard to do. You have to stay within an inch or so of the bunker texture when you drop that shape and that's bound to cause problems, lol. |

I'm confused. Are you doing these with wall structures, or is it done with terrain and textures? |

These are textures. If you use them over a large area it will you give you that dreaded tapestry look, but on a strip like this it works quite well. Always trying to find easier ways to achieve a good looking result, lol. |

WOW It fooled me, I thought it was laid wall pieces because it looks just like a standing wall, and the look you where going after snagged me.........LOL
Didnt even think about all that, and you could do a pot bunker wall, and just use wall textures or angle the slope like you did on that one picture......

OK, so I'm guessing you made a texture image that had one axis compressed, so that when applied to a verticale, it expands to look normal. I'd like to get my hands on and example or that lib. I have been wanting to try this. I did try it on a couple of textures in caveland rocks, but theey were more organic, so the effect is kind of subtle. Very, very nice jimi. |

No, Ive tried that, it doesnt work. When you compress an image along one dimension and then stretch it again you lose just too much detail. It looks ugly. These are just tiled brick textures. This is the thumbnail for the texure in the 2nd pic. Because these bricks are suqarish in shape you can use most any alignment. If you use rectangular bricks, basically you can only put them in north-south or east-west, depending on the orientation of the bricks on the thumbnail. Does this make sense? |

To celebrate 50 years of Island Records I created a tiny island green. I put a tree on it so you can aim for its branches and hope it grabs your ball, lol. |
