I'm having trouble with lag on the newest courses from PGAX. Older ones are fine. Do they require certain settings? - Please Advise |

the augusta course is no more nor less cpu/GPU intensive than others
you do the confidence folder fix?
and what other games require/how they play with a certain system doesn't really impact how TW plays |

you've adjusted graphic settings, grasss, tree detail distance?
i've got a low end PC, believe me i know when a course plays laggy etc - augusta needed some adjustments, but again - no better/worse than many custom courses, including the weekly pgax ones |

You cannot compare the Crysis game to TW. Two different engines and requirements. I run Crysis on DX10 at a little over 70 FPS. My PGAX courses run around the same some better, some worse. Nvidia cards do not perform as good in TW08 as ATI Cards. It is true, our courses will push the graphic settings to the max on most pcs. More than likely you will need to adjust your settings, especially on the grass detail and the tree detail settings. It is much easier and preferable to us to get to the point of overload and recommend people that experience fps issues to turn down settings than to build a more basic course and waste the video power and the better looks on the better than average pc who could do nothing to improve if it is not in there in the first place. |

Yes, even though Nvidia makes great video cards for gaming, the grass blades in TW08 really overwork an NVidia card. |
