| Are sound files still supposed to be in wav format? Does anybody know what settings to use to make them audible in the game? I have one sound file that checks out OK in the LC and the CA, but I can't hear it in the game. |

Still wav files. What are the properties of your file. Most of the generic sounds are mono at 176kbps bitrate & 11025Hz sampling rate.
Try crank up the amplitude in a sound editor and save in the above format. |

The following specs are from Stefanie2k6, thanks Stefanie,
Bitrate: 88 kbps - 176kbps
Audio Sample Size: 8 bit - 16bit
Channels: 1 (mono)
Audio Sample Rate: 11 kHz - 22kHz
Audio Format: PCM
This keeps them small enough to add quite a few sounds to make a library.
