Today I ran across something very strange.

I was in the match up lobby, and I noticed a guy who was about to play the course that I have been working on. I have not released it to anyone accept, 2 very trusted people and they assured me, that they did not give it out.

I tried to ask him how he got my course, but he kept ignoring me. I need to get to the bottom of this.

Does anyone have any idea how I could figure this out? I have his and his friends online user name. Hope this is in the appropriate forum.

Thanks for any help.

Well as long as my bank account doesn't end up empty.

The thing is, I wouldn't even care if someone gave it out for a test, but when they wouldn't even talk to me, it really made me mad.

Thanks Boze

I would hazard a guess if you are using a site like usendit or rapidshare etc, it is quite easy to walk the urls browsing for files and be fairly successful at it. It is actually a bit astonishing to see what stuff gets nabbed from places like that. Unfortunately, especially with the free services, (you get what you pay for I believe the phrase is) I think that will be the standard so to speak. Those designers that may be interested in helping me setup a designer hosting area for secure private exchange of files, you should know how to find me :)

you know.... that is a very good point, one I wouldn't have considered.... I myself use datafilehost (yep, its free) for uploads, and it never entered my mind that anyone could or would 'find' it....

makes you wonder......

I think it was just a EA glitch, when I saw mine online, I logged off and uninstalled my course and went back online to see, and the name of the course was corrected that the people were playing.

you know what, I tend to agree with Boze, as the guy acted like I was crazy.

I never use a site to share my courses, I always send them direct email.

Thanks for the help yall, I feel much better now.

All the guy had to do was say, are you crazy, I dont have your course. lol

I might be willing to bet that this was caused by someone playing a custom that shared the GUID with yours. Not that ould be a loooong shot, but it would explain it.
