Today I ran across something very strange.
I was in the match up lobby, and I noticed a guy who was about to play the course that I have been working on. I have not released it to anyone accept, 2 very trusted people and they assured me, that they did not give it out.
I tried to ask him how he got my course, but he kept ignoring me. I need to get to the bottom of this.
Does anyone have any idea how I could figure this out? I have his and his friends online user name. Hope this is in the appropriate forum.
Thanks for any help. |

Well as long as my bank account doesn't end up empty.
The thing is, I wouldn't even care if someone gave it out for a test, but when they wouldn't even talk to me, it really made me mad.
Thanks Boze |

I would hazard a guess if you are using a site like usendit or rapidshare etc, it is quite easy to walk the urls browsing for files and be fairly successful at it. It is actually a bit astonishing to see what stuff gets nabbed from places like that. Unfortunately, especially with the free services, (you get what you pay for I believe the phrase is) I think that will be the standard so to speak. Those designers that may be interested in helping me setup a designer hosting area for secure private exchange of files, you should know how to find me :) |

you know.... that is a very good point, one I wouldn't have considered.... I myself use datafilehost (yep, its free) for uploads, and it never entered my mind that anyone could or would 'find' it....
makes you wonder...... |

I think it was just a EA glitch, when I saw mine online, I logged off and uninstalled my course and went back online to see, and the name of the course was corrected that the people were playing. |

you know what, I tend to agree with Boze, as the guy acted like I was crazy.
I never use a site to share my courses, I always send them direct email.
Thanks for the help yall, I feel much better now.
All the guy had to do was say, are you crazy, I dont have your course. lol |

I might be willing to bet that this was caused by someone playing a custom that shared the GUID with yours. Not that ould be a loooong shot, but it would explain it. |
