This will be my fist attempt at a links style course. One hole laid out and a long, long road yet to travel.

Designed by Gary Player and unique to South Africa, The Links golf course was officially opened in November 2000, Created from a previously flat piece of land, over 700 000 cubic metres of earth was moved in transforming it into a typical Links style.
The course presents undulating windswept terrain, and dune-style landscape and is the only such course in South Africa. Every hole has received detailed attention to ensure that the overall balance in terms of length, position of hazards and shot values are in harmony. As a result, The Links presents a stern test in all weather conditions. Set to test the best golfer in every way, The Links has some extraordinary holes, like the par-3 second, with its bunker in the heart of the enormous green.

Thanx Jimi, quite a daunting task to get all the mounding looking just right. Holes 1, 2 and 18 are probably the most tricky as they have the most elevation changes from tee to green, the rest of the course is relatively flat apart from the undulations.

Still got to think about the technique i'm going to use for the bunkers which will come at the end.

You'd expect deep pot bunkers on a course like that.

I think that you forgot to mention that it was Fancourt up until now! Now, I'm even more excited, and of course would be happy to look at it for you.
