C:\PROGRA~1\EASPOR~1\TIGERW~1\libraries
Where do these files and directories with the ~1 live, and how can I see them?
I am trying to install bridges.tcl library and it says it is allready installed and I have to uninstall it, but I can't do that because I cant find the damn thing on CLtool or CLSetup.

Look on this location:
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\libraries
Inside folder libraries you should find other folder: Bridges |

I dont have TW08 installed on the machine I use for course architect.
Its the directories that have ~1 that Im trying to find. I dont think that
C:\PROGRA~1\EASPOR~1\TIGERW~1\libraries
is the same directory as
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06\libraries

I can find the bridges.tcl file ok, but I dont think its where CL setup thinks it is :) |

Ok, I give up, what year game are you trying to install it into?
Either way, just go to that year and it should be there, then remove it, and reinstall. |

| I had a similar problem to this with Vista. I did not give myself the privilege to be able to see the files, so it looked like they weren't there. |

its the old DOS style naming
it truncates names longer than 8 (;?) characters
~1 indicates its the only TW installed
if you had additional TW versions installed, they would be ~2, ~3 etc
you can always use Windows Explorer, Search feature to find the library |

I run TW08 on my Vista machine and TW06 on my older XP machine for designing. So I have to install libraries on both. On my Vista machine it is installed fine, on my XP one, it was installed at one time, but for some reason isn't now.
When I try to install on my old machine, I get this message.
"CLSETUP has detected that the included library 'Bridges' is already installed as " on your system, and the contents of the library file on your system differs from the library file you are about to install. Either the designer made an upgrade to an old library, or made a mistake by reusing an old library source file when creating a new library. Please notify the site from which you downloaded the library about the situation.
To properly install this library you need to uninstall your copy of the the library and then try to install the library again. Please not that if you install a new version of the library, courses that use the older version of the library may not work properly anymore."
I can't uninstall using CLSETUP because it doesnt appear in the list of libraries. I used explorer search to look for it, but it doesn't show up there either. This is why I was thinking it was a hidden file. Now I'm thinking it may be something in my registry. or does the " have something to do with my problem?

Use regedit and delete it from TW06 in the registry. This will get rid of it.
You will be able to reload the library after you do this. |

| I've deleted everything I can find in EASports registry with the word bridges but it's still the same :(. I'm not really too sure about registry though. |
