whats wrong with the server speed, I have road runner cable, runs at about 12 mb, when I download from here lately, it runs at 40 kbps. Ive tested my speed at 6 diff. places and it runs great there. just wondering if the server speed has been slowed down or something??? thanks. |

My 50th of a dollar: It was slow yesterday (50KB/Sec) but seems to be back to normal, if not better (330KB/Sec), today. Beats dial-up either way and you can't complain about the price. |

If people would stop downloading all the libraries for a course in myzip DL speeds would be ALOT faster....what I mean is people are downloading everything regardless if they have it installed already or not.
EXP:ECT a change very soon, like today myzip will be going to 60 MB |

Seemed better today. Thanks Kevin. I don't think many files should be over 60 MB anyway. |

I could not agree more.....
Also I tested soemthing this week in preperation for the new servers. I wanted to find out exactly how much bandwidth we needed. The slow speeds were caused by me intentionnaly. I have never tested how much of our 100MB connection we actually use. Needless to say the tests showed me what I was looking for, and I turned them back up after 100000000000 complaints....lol. The server is now running at full power it took about 24 hours to recache everything for the higher speeds. |

I am still getting very slow d/load speeds, down to 10 kbs so its taking 10 minutes instead of 30 seconds to d/load a course. I only d/load the course + missing libs as required.I have read in this topic that the problems have been fixed, can anyone suggest a solution. |

FYI, I downloaded 2 courses tonight and the download speeds were extremely quick. Like about 20 seconds apiece. No complaints from me!! |

Yep. If you take the time to download the libraries individually instead of using myzip youll be surprised how many new releases require only the course file. Its a little bit of pain up front but the payback is that a new course release becomes a minor download. It also means less traffic, faster speeds for all, a lower cost for the site owners and therefore less donations eventually required from the end user. |

Dont know if anyone else is having this issue, but many times I end up downloading a course twice. I'll select a course, click download this course, create my zipfile, then download my zipfile. Then the caddy pops up and I click run. When the caddy gets done loading the course, it ends up being a course that I had previously loaded. Then I have to go back and load the course all over again. This doesn't happen all the time, but quite often. |

If your still getting slow download speeds, it is not a problem on our end. You need to empty your temporary internet files and restart your PC. I have a 10MB Connection, and my avg download is 300 - 500 KBs.
I also highly recommend using Firefox and CCleaner. |
