I have been trying to install the library creator form 02 so I can make some of my own textures. (I understand that this is needed to correctly create textures). I have installed the demo to the default location, but when I try to install the LC, it says TW02 could not be found Any ideas?
Thanks |

Uninstall everything, then install the demo first, see if that works, then install LC02. You will still get an error message ("Unable to detect the install directory in the registry. Please re-install PGA Golf") but if you click OK the program will open. It will also crash when you try to close it, but in the meantime you can create and compile libraries. Another cumbersome way around EA's lack of support for us, designers, but that's the way it is. |

Well, for some reason, I am still unable to get the LC to install.(Doesn't even get started good).. Still get the same message. I have tried installing the demo in different locations, also, to no avail... (I have TW 06,07,08 all on a slave drive) I have tried 02 in same drive, and in the default location..Even played it once to set the game files.. I wonder of there is a registry entry I could use to convince the LC that TW02 is actually installed..? Must be doing something wrong... I'll keep trying stuff.. :)
Thanks |

Install the LC2006, then just copy the lc2002 exe file into where you installed 06 LC. Then run it from there. I would use the LC2006 to create textures though. Just use the LC02 to create objects the lighting properties are better in 02 for buildings. The grass and other texture properties in the 06 LC are much better. |

Thanks jmeier.. I am unable to get past setup.exe, I cannot get the actual lc2002.exe... And it seems that no matter where I install TW02 or try to run the setup from, it will not find the 2002 game(;demo). Is it possible to extract just the exe file from the setup application? Im sure Im missing something here...lol... but I am at a loss.
EDIT// I am giving up for now...Thanks to all who tried to help ! |
