I know back wile there was a Fying Birds file. You put this file in and you have a flock of birds appear into the game.

Hi...

Yes you have to copy the folder CLS of one of the stock courses into your custom course folder.
Go to next path ( default ):

C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses

look inside one of the stock courses folders......inside you will see folder: CLS

copy this folder CLS.......go into your custom course folder.....and paste the folder CLS inside.

EA would normally install into this path, on my machine I have installed elsewhere, but that is the default location.

See, if your course is on your desktop or anywhere else, once you put the cls folder into it, you still have to put your course in tW2008, or whatever version you want it in. by going to> my computer/c:drive/program files/EASPORTS/TW 08/courses. Just copy your course into the courses folder and your good to go.

I tried your way, it does not appear in the game, I am designing TPC Woodlands for 2006. I tried cls out of Sawgrass for 2006. I really think you have to do something more for it to appear in the 2006 game.

Have you taken the time to make sure that under your Options in TW2006 that you have changed over to Manual settings and changed the Course Life Setting to something other than Auto? If you have your system set to Automatic settings, your system may not have enough memory to handle throwing a lot of CLS elements onto the course.

But then again, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about either.

The next obvious question is - what spec of machine are you installing on? Please give details of CPU/RAM/Video Card etc. Never see the squrrels, deer, fish or even the gallery (if set). The more info, the easier it is to see the problem.

I am lucky to ever see birds or the occasional blimp on my setup - AMD Sempron 1.6Ghz, NVidia GeForce 6200 - 1 GB RAM

Yes, a Nvidia Ge Force 8600 GT card
Intel(;R)Core(;TM)2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 220 GHz
221 GHz, 200 GB of Ram
When I play the other stock courses I see the birds, and etc.

That is one heck of a system with 200 GB of RAM.

Stock courses are different beasts than custom courses. EA did not use the same CA that they put out for others to use. That is why the stock courses will always look a bit different than any custom.

Have you tried using any other CLS than the 1 you mentioned? Is your TCR file in its own folder on your hard drive? Are you copying the entire CLS folder into the folder where your course is located?

Did you use a CLS from an 08 course? If so, I doubt it will work in 06 at all. If I'm not mistaken, the CLS changed from 06 to 07. I'm not at home now, so I can't verify this.

Before you upload, make sure that if you are uploading it as a TW08 course that you used AT LEAST 1 TW08 stock library. Otherwise your course will have to be classified according to the latest stock library you used on the course. If you used any TW08 stock libraries, users that only have TW2006 will not be able to play it anyway since the TW08 stock libraries are only available if you purchase the TW08 game. They are not freely available for download.

No...I used 2006 cls, into the custom 2006 course folder only. I really think this can not be done. Question when I complete this couse what is the best version to upload in that the most of the community would be a able to download and use.

Thanks, for all the help...

TW08 is the most active version since it is the latest version. There are still some that play TW2006, but you will not get anywhere near as many downloads if you release for that version.

Please make sure you read my previous post about what makes a TW08 course. If you upload a course without at least 1 TW08 stock library, it will not be approved as a TW08 course.

Hi...
The best thing to do is to upload as TW08 custom course:

You will have to use at least 1 TW08 stock library, and this way your course will be classified as TW08 custom course.
go to path below:
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses
(for example: inside stock folder BOS...you will find stock library BOS)
inside each TW08 stock course folder you will find the required stock library.
Right click on library file...and copy and paste to desktop.
When finished you will have the stock library on your desktop. Now install the TW08 stock library in TW06 game with CLsetup06.
Now you will be able to use the TW08 stock library to create TW08 course with CA06.

Thanks, When I install a 2008 libray in 2006 course designer. Does that library have to be used in the course, and designer. If so I will build for 2008.

First of all Twa, did you get your cls folder to work?

And to answer your 2nd question,no it doesnt have to be used just because you put it in their.

Whatever lib you put into 06, makes that lib available to be used in the CA, if you choose to. Its up to you what year you design for.

That is one reason for the cltool, if you put a lib in, then dont want to use it, you can cloak it. That keeps you from having to go thru a hundred libs when you are using the CA. And you still have that lib available if you decide to change your mind.

But I really think we should stick to getting one problem fixed first, before we move to the next?
