Progress Update
Many people have contacted me about Olympic Club and how it's coming together. Here is a brief progress report on that and the other courses I am planning on releasing.
1. Olympic Club- This course is nearly ready. I am waiting on a new clubhouse along with grandstands, tee markers, etc. in a structure library, which to the best of my knowledge is complete. I will keep everyone updated on this course as soon as anything happens.
2. Olympia Fields- This course is coming along at a rapid pace, and is coming together extremely well. The main elevations and the course layout are complete. I am through hole 7 working on the bunkering, and will do the planting after that. The clubhouse and other structures are already in place, minus a few bridges which will be coming with the Olympic library. I have decided to use the 2003 US Open hole routing, which switches the two nines, except the first and tenth holes.
3. Whistling Straits- I plan on releasing an updated version of this course (yes, with a new GUID) I will replace all the textures, fix the graphic glitch on the 13th hole, add some new bunkers, and try to replicate the ruggedness of the course better. I have just begun this remodeling so it will take a while.
4. Longaberger- I have 3 holes laid out as of now, and this is the last of my priorities. But I will work on this one when I have extra time.
I now have the luxury of actually seeing the course on my own machine before releasing, instead of relying on screenshots taken by others. I think this will really help the visual quality of any future courses that I release.
