Hi there,
I reinstalled TW04 the other week for something to do over this summer break. Earlier on, however, the game CTD'd and wouldnt load again. Eventually i got a message to insert the cd which upon opening the cd drive, i found to have cracked.
Its the courses cd too, which means that i now cant load the game.
I got my hands on a no-cd patch which loaded the game, but then CTD'd when it tried to load the course. I assume that although theres some course data in the TW04 folder on my C drive, not all of the data required to run the courses are present. I would also assume that if i could download the full courses from a website like, say, this then i would be able to run the game.
I had a look through the course downloads section on here but sadly all of the 04 courses come back with a 'cannot find download mirror for this course' message.
Does anyone know where i can get a download with all the courses in or, better still, where i could get a replacement cd?

| You cannot download those courses. EA never releases the stock courses to the public. In this case it wouldn't help anyway. The courses disc is needed because it has the copy protection scheme that EA uses to tell that you actually own the game. The only way you are going to be able to get what you need is to either contact EA about a replacement CD or try to find a cheap copy of the game to purchase. |

OK thanks.
Having looked at that site, appears i would need to pay $13 for a new cd. I wonder how much i can go and buy it for!
Bobby, if you were to send the Courses CD, perhaps even a copied one, would i have problems with cd verification, or does it not matter what the cd is as long as a cd is inserted (in other words, are the set of 3 cd's linked in any way with a secret cd key or something)?

I didnt realize you lived in the UK... that would make it a lot more expensive. Sorry.
You can buy a whole new game for less than what it would cost to replace it though. |
