Hi all,
New member here and have I got a doozy of a problem!
But it be familiar to most of you.
410_pebblebeach2004.zip (pbl) and 502_pebblebeach2005.zip (PBL)
I got both these files when I downloaded the Royal GC of Scotland by Bob Monkeyson,
but right off the bat this created problems: despite the fact that one is PBL and the other is pbl, the computer wont accept both of them. Same letters.
So I decided to go with the newer version 502_pebblebeach2005
With 2005 installed I get walls all around the course, but these walls are actually zoomed in buildings. When I swap 2005 for 2004 its like Im surrounded by beanstalks!
Huge green tree-like structures all over the place!
Swapping 2005 and 2004 back and forth for testing also had effects on the other courses using the pbl file, The Royal Birkdale for one.
Birkdale looked absolutely perfect at first, but with PBL 2005 installed I now have walls surrounding the course. When I swap 2005 for 2004, Birkdale looks good again.
I have to come to the conclusion that 502_pebblebeach has a serious flaw?? Corrupted?
But with 410_pebblebeach I still have gfx issues at Royal GC Scotland.
I had similar issues with Doha (and Doha V2), but they dont use either pebblebeach file.
I deleted both Doha courses.
Can anyone offer a solution? |

When you are using CLsetup you will have no problem to install both libraries PBL 04 and PBL 05.
But when you are using courseutilities......you will have to create 2 folders.
In the location where you install all your libraries ( tcl files ) you will have to make a folder: PBL 04........and another folder: PBL 05.
Now install library PBL 04 ( TCL ) in folder: PBL 04 with courseutilities
And install library PBL 05 ( TCL ) in folder: PBL 05 with courseutilities |

The problems have been resolved and the graphics are back to normal.
Turning down the hole perimeter already fixed Doral, and Doha V2, and your two folders
solution fixed my issues with The Royal GC of Scotland.
So as soon as Ogilvy kisses his trophy Ill be teeing up. :-)
But I now get the feeling that Ive been installing course the wrong way from the beginning,
because Ive been using both CLSetup and Course Utilities.
I understood that CLSetup only unzipped the files to the correct folders and that the course then had to be activated by installing the unzipped files using Course Utilites.
Anyway thanks again!
If the weather wont allow me to go outside to play real golf, I might as well play golf on the computer. And with all these problems being fixed, it might just be a little more fun! |

CLsetup can handle all zip files, course + libraries
But now there is new installer available: TW Caddie 08.
You can download TW Caddie 08 on this site....and there is also user guide available. |

Ive been doubling the work?

I read on this website that its for TW08 only. I have TW06.
So it looks like Ill be using CLsetup only. |

lol.....yes correct...with CLsetup06 you can install all files.
And no need to unzip the files.....CLsetup06 can handle zip files. |
