Heres a link to a pic from my latest project. I have enough room on the plot to do a second course on it. Would that be a nice idea? Of course youd have to download the thing twice.

Interesting.......
I have attempted this idea in the past. Overall for me, it just seems like the CA could only handle a specific amount of data, once you go over that it crashes. This Double Course is possible to do, if you limit things and are very very careful.
My guess is the course will work up to a specific point, once you pass the threshold for the CA it will crash. I hope this doesnt happen, but if it does, you will have to be creative to complete the project.
Make sure you have a few backups saved...
Good luck, this is not an easy one....

We (the three evil twins) tried to do that on the 07 version of the oddity and ended up having very limited control over the terrain without it crashing, it ended up making the back nine of the first course to be very limited compared to the front, the other course ended up being a failure. I dont believe there is really a workaround for this because eventually you reach a point where optimizing detail doesnt work anymore (for us it happened around the 23rd hole).
As hyno said, you have to be really careful and not overuse the slope modifiers.
Too bad though, looks like a great course with a great layout. If the ca was better I would create a second 18, byt that doesnt really seem to be an option |

I still havent run into any problems optimizing and compiling this course. By the time it is done, I might need some playtesters though. Anybody interested? |

I have indeed managed to pull it off and the result looks quite nice, if I saty so myself, lol. The Circle Course @ Nergenshuizen, circling Ye Olde Course, will soon be available for download. On my last test round I scored -9, no bogeys, so I hope this one will be easy enough ) Look at it as a beginners course (pun definitely intended lol) |
