With 08 coming out, i bought the lowered price 07 since i thought it was and is the same as 06 with a few new courses. LOL, cant believe its exactly the same except for a feature or 2 that i wont ever use but thats not a problem.

I will be running the 07 version now to simulate a PGA tour instead of 06 so i can get the new user created courses as well as riviera and so on. So my question is on the patch. I cant actually find it now, but not sure if i need it. I see a post on how to uninstall it and some problems it may have caused. So i am safe just playing the game as is from the box, or do i need to get the patch to fix some problems.

Like i said earlier i will just be playing offline in a simulated season, so that is my only concern for issues.
Also on that topic: is there any issues with the season editor? Or is it basically just set up the same way, with the same rules and limitations?

One last question would be about using the stock courses for 06 on 07. I know i have to leave 06 on my computer for the architect use, but what about switching those on to my 07 version since i need some for my season?

Any other tips or advice for making the switch are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi....a lot of people uninstalled the patch , i installed the patch for only one reason, because patch fixed the uphill and sidehill lies effect, but that is the only reason you should install patch i believe. A lot of people had issues after they installed patch.

There was no career editor 07 released by EAsports, so normally it is impossible to simulate TW07 PGA Tour, .....but some people said they are able to add custom courses in PGA tour 07 with career editor 06, you can read on link below:

It is not good idea to play TW06 courses in TW07 game.....TW06 courses are not rendering very well, and panos are not showing up very well....etc....
It is better idea to add TW07 custom courses in TW07 game...(you can download on this site)

Thanks for the answers. Hopefully i can work it out with the career editor.
I can live without the 06 courses I guess. I appreciate u giving that info as well, will save me some time and trouble.
