| I dont care for 07s format or anything about the game for that matter. I was wondering if the 07 courses on this site would work on the 04 game?? Just a question before I waste any time downloading an 07 course to try it out. Thanks!!! |

Actually the 07 game / game engine are far superior in realism , play, and graphics. But if one has an older PC, a laptop or bundled system with on-board graphics or just has a smaller video card, then the odds are you wont even be able to get TW07 to load...if you do the settings will be set so low and possible lag could make this seem to be true.
Anyone with a PC that includes 1.5 gigs of ram / 3000+ cpu / and a 256 / 512 meg -agp / pcie card(s) with win xp (some have vista issues with drivers) with sp2 and latest directx 9c installed and updated will be hard pressed to say TW04 is better playing or looking than TW07.
The thing most of us had complaints with TW04, was the move to less ability to customize ..mainly clothing. Im not disagreeing that TW04 was great., there is no way I would play it over TW07 ..same goes with any other previous version.
I think some people (and maybe your not one of them - this is just your personal preference) believe if a previous version of a PC game worked on their PC the next should work too. I would say if this was true of all PC games then improvements to game development has halted on that game and new technology is not being implemented - that is just my personal opinion tho...
I do agree that I miss alot about what we could customize in Tw04 ... for me thats it tho..... |

| Im not saying that 07 does not work on my pc. I just dont like the feel of it. Maybe some think Im weird, maybe I am, but to me, for whatever reason, I feel the attention to the graphicssuch as the scorecard and leader boardwas just lacking. I heard or read a lot of complaints about how EA focused 07 version on next gen or whatever that means, so the PC got less attention, which I agree. I think the team tour mode is irrelevant. That was their new feature for the year, wasnt it?? How many real tournaments are played like that a year?? 07 was the first version I have purchased since 04 so mabybe Im not up to date but losing the season mode was the worst thing they could do. The game runs fine for me, again, but the only noticeable approvemnet in my mind is the grass. Not as cartoony as 04. Im not being defensive or a jerk. Just like some conversation. |

| One extra available in 04 that I enjoyed was the ability to play an entire 72 hole tourniment under custom rounds. If there is a way to do it in 07 I havent figured it out, all I can find is 18 hole rounds against the field. If there is a way, can someone walk me through it? Thanx |
