Hi.... Ignore message and continue installation, Little Wing will play. There are 2 libraries available: Jimistextures (2006) (available on this site) Jimis textures(2007) (not available on this site). Problem is CLsetup can only install one of them, when you want to install both libraries in game you will have that error message. But course will play with both libraries, when you installed one of them you can play Little Wing. |

Even to an old hack like me the whole thing sounds confusing so I have now made both libraries available and labelled them Jimis Textures 06 and Jimis Textures 07, designers need to make sure they list the correct library for their course. |

update |
|
Thank you for the explanation Gunpower61. I had Jimistextures (2006) already installed, but the course would not load. I got the TW 07 black window error that it cant find the course, so try another one. Since CLsetup would not install both, I created a Jimis textures(2007) folder in the libraries directory and used the TW 07 Course Utilities to install Jimis textures(2007) in that folder, so both libraries are now installed. Now the course loads and plays fine. I will remember that solution. I have encountered the problem before. Thanks again. You guys are all great with the way you help others.
update: The only course that I had installed requiring Jimistextures (2006) was Fantasmagora GC (same designer). I decided to uninstall both Jimis Textures libraries, and then install Jimis textures(2007) only. I did that, and Fantasmagora GC and Little Wing both worked fine. Hope that this is of some help. |

It is very confusing. I do not believe those 2 libraries are the same, even though they have similar names.
The TW06 library, Jimis Textures, was created on 7/21/06 and has a size of 5.66MB.
The TW07 library, Jimis Textures, was created on 2/22/07 and has a size of 6.83MB.
I can check later tonight, but I would bet money that the two libraries also have different Windows Registry GUIDs, which would make them different libraries completely. Sure makes it dfficult when trying to figure out which library is the right one, which is why archs should use UNIQUE names when naming libraries. |

Those are actually different libraries, although the 07 is an adaptation of the06 library. Id suggest playing it with the 07 version. It looks better. Sorry about the confusion. I uploaded the first version a long time ago and had completely forgotten about it. |

Actually, they arent different libraries as I had thought. Both versions have the exact same GUID value in the Windows Registry. That means that Windows sees both libraries as the exact same library. Both versions cannot be installed at the same time. This is one of the problems that results when a library is modified and is not revised/resaved correctly to create a new GUID before it is released. It results in conflicting libraries. |

A Guid is the # assign to a lib or course.
If you save the course file TCA to a different name it changes the Guid #
For Libs, The method I know, their could be others
When you revise an old lib, you basically need to start over, new name add the textures, sounds, structures and so forth.
When working on the lib you can flip out and change stuff, once you publish a lib, I would say, never go back an change it.
For sure write down, how you created the textures, for example how you defined Pine Straw, look what you did and use that. It is also good to write down how you labled the textures in the game. L_Rough, M_Rough and so forth. Try to keep them similar so people know how the textures play. Rough and Bunkers need to be Named for each setting in the LC. Rough their is 3 settings, Bunkers 4 settings.

Thanks. I knew about the confusion different libraries with the same name or the same librarioes with a differejnt name can cause. I just didnt realize Id already uploaded the older version. Thanks for the explanation anyway. |
