I am having great difficulty in getting the scorecard in the game to show the correct hole yardage as shown in the config.ini file. I have ensured the config file is named the same as the tcr file in order for TW08 to recognise it but it has no effect. Where am I going wrong?

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.

Hiya Tee, Are you sure you are using this names in the zipfile before you install the course: The International @ London GC.ini The International @ London GC.tcr
When the ini has another name in the zipfile before you install it with TWCaddie08, then TWCaddie08 will automatic give it the same name as the actual course name after you installed it, but then the ini will not work. So before you install it, in your zipfile you should have: The International @ London GC.ini The International @ London GC.tcr When you now install the zipfile with TWCaddie08, then the yardages should show up correct.
Note: When it is still not working, then maybe the @ character is an invalid character in the .ini file, not sure though. |

Gunpower,
You will see from the attached jpeg that the ini file is named the same as the tcr file. I changed the symbol "@" to "at", but unfortunately it made no difference. One thing that may be critical is that I have only three tees per hole: black, blue and white. There is no red (forward tees). However in the game you get 4 sets of tee distances as per the attached jpeg.

Gunpower,
This is the contents of the zipped foilder that TW Caddie 08 uses to install. I wonder if the symbol "@" in the course name properties has a bearing on this? I will experiment with this issue.

After you installed it with TWCaddie08 then the .ini file will be automatic renamed to exactly the same name of your course, as it it shows in TWCaddie08. So in the zipfile, the best thing to do is to give the .tcr and the .ini file exactly the same name as your course shows up in TWCaddie08. It looks perfect in the first pic you attached, so normally it should work. The name of your course: The International @ London GC The International @ London GC.ini The International @ London GC.tcr Everything looks perfect, so the only thing i can think about is that the @ character in your coursename might be a problem when you want to use a .ini file, not sure though. |

I understand what you say Pat but as per the image in my last post, I changed all references of "@" to "at" but it had no difference. This problem is new to me as your comments are correct. The only difference with my past courses is that I have only used three tees per hole, so a red yardage as shown in the game scorecard should not appear, yet it does. I will insert red tees and see if that cures the problem.

Finally managed to solve the problem. Apparently TW08 does not like only three tees per hole in the config.ini file, there must be four for it to work properly. If there are only three per hole TW Caddie 08 makes its own up. Symbols like "@" have no detrimental effect. |
