Hi, After you downloaded the libraries and the coursefile to your PC: You can create your myzip file yourself on your PC. Right click the downloaded file Coursename.zip.....and choose: Rename....and change the name to: Coursename.myzip (So you just have to change .zip to .myzip) When you now dubble click the saved file Coursename.myzip, then TWCaddie08 will install the course in TW08.
Same for libraries: Change the downloaded libraryname.zip to libraryname.myzip (So you just have to change .zip to .myzip) When you now dubble click the saved file libraryname.myzip, then TWCaddie08 will install the library in TW08.
Second Problem: a lot of PC systems are set not to show the file extensions. For example you will only see: Coursename ( the file extension .zip or .myzip is hidden on your PC ) In that case you cant rename .zip to .myzip because it is invisible. However it is very easy to show the file extensions on your PC ( you only have to do this once) Follow steps below for all systems ( win8...Win7...Vista...xp)
Windows7 and Vista:
1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button on your desktop, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. 2.Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do the following: Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
Windows8:
It’s simple to turn file extensions on and off in Windows 8. Simply open a File Explorer window (the new name for Windows Explorer) and on top left click the View tab. ( for example go to the location where you download your TW08 courses, and on top left you will see the tab: View ) Now in the ribbon ( top centre ) tick or untick the box next to: File name extensions. If the box is ticked, extensions will be shown.
Windows XP 1.In Windows Explorer, choose Tools > Folder Options. 2.Click the View tab in the Folder Options dialog box. 3.In Advanced Settings, select Show Hidden Files And Folders. 4.Deselect Hide Extensions For Known File Types. 5.Click OK. |
