I have downloaded cltool08 and installed using Windows 7 OS. When I come to cloak courses/libraries the clock button is "greyed" out. Is there a fix for this or must it be used using XP mode only? |

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.

Hiya The Cloaking Tool will work on win7. First you have to right click on the Cloacking tool icon you start the program with, and choose: Properties......compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator...and hit: apply When you now open the cloaking tool you should be able to cloack libraries. When you also want to cloack courses: Open the cloacking tool and in the centre you will see two buttons: Cloack......Uncloack Now right click somewhere above the buttons, and a popup screen will appear....and check: Allow cloaking of courses |

Pat,
I have been playing around with CLTool08 and I uncloaked all courses using the instructions above. Now when I go into TW08 game all course logos are missing except the first course listed "Arizona GC". When I go into TW Caddie 08 all courses are there. Where am I going wrong?

Hello Lawrence,
So if i understood correct you first cloacked ( make invisible ) some courses. Later you uncloaked ( make visible )the courses, and now you are missing the logos in TW08. Maybe you are only missing the logo and the course is there ? When you click an empty hexagon, can you start the course ?
I used CLTool08 many years on my win7 system and never experienced problems. This is how it normally should work: The courses that are cloaked are invisible in TW08 and TWCaddie08 The courses that are uncloaked are visible in TW08 and TWCaddie08
Maybe you can try to cloak the courses again, and after that uncloak the courses again. Note: always close TW08 and TWCaddie08 when you cloak or unkloak courses, but normally you should receive a warning from CLTool08 when TW08 or TWCaddie08 is still open. |

Pat,
I first made sure my permissions were set for administrator (although I didn't have a button to click to set as administrator). I went into security and edited my permissions. They were all ticked in left hand box but all greyed out. Next I right clicked above the clock/uncloak buttons and hit "uncloak all courses & libs". That is when it went haywire.
I just tried to replicate this for the purpose of the post and I realised there was a button for "Allow cloaking of courses". That was not ticked. I have just done that & everything now looks fine. I think problem is solved. See below:
Thanks for the help. ;D |
