Found only one other similar thread (http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=4674), but it was for TW07. Does it still apply to TW08?
I don't plan on using the designer, so does the number of libraries affect performance?
I currently have 72 courses installed, and 249 libraries.

Hi, no problem, the amount of courses and libraries installed in TW08 is limited only by the size of your hard drive and will not affect game performance.

Thanks for that.
Reason I asked is that I am compiling a TW08 real course list and needed to know if I would have any problems if I installed some 200 courses. :-) |

I have collected about a zillion real courses from this site and CGX Tour. Scrolling through them in TW08 looking for the course you want to play is crazy making. I copy all courses and libraries to a thumb drive and have them sorted according to State or Nation; this makes it faster for me to find what I want.
In the TW08 Caddie I keep all custom courses uninstalled, BUT leave all libraries installed. So I access the thumb drive through the TW08 Caddie and install the course or courses to play then uninstall when done. TW08 Stock courses will still be listed.
So the next time you want to play Wentworth you won't wear your finger out scrolling down 500 times, save it for the game. |
