Here are some pics of a first course from a guy from Perfect Parallel, they thought it would be cool to show the community how someone with very little design experience could build a course with the new course designer.
It is a combination of Unity and an add on called Course Forge that PP designed to work with Unity.
These pics are from the course designer NOT THE GAME.. Its amazing how good you can see the course you are working on and from what I understand, this is just what you will see in the game also...Pretty amazing I think, not a whole lot of need to play test all the time..
Hope you enjoy.. You can join the site for free and follow the progress. http://www.perfectparallel.com/

Not to shabby for a beginner... Remember all of these pics are looking from within Course Forge/Unity, not the game!

Very nice, but even after visiting their site, I have no idea what these courses are for. Is this some new golf game?

I may have read the site wrong , but sure it said Beta testing now Closed ? Required a game pad as well to play it, those Pictures look great, but from what i saw this game is a bit Arcadey , there`s the not required comet trails behind the ball in flight = Yuk, people who play Links say TW 2008 is to arcade like :(; Pictures BTW always look beter than the real thing.

There has been no beta testing yet, for either the Course Designer IE: Course Forge or the game itself..

Those trails are dumb in my opinion too but Im sure we can turn them off..

As far as the pictures, like I said are taken from within the CA, you cant see in the tigerwoods CA like you can in that CA, imagine how much time you save by being able to see the course that well while your designing it? Oh and btw, no optimizing needed...

These are pics to show what is happening with PPs course designer, nothing to do with their game yet..

Thanks Axe, but IMO they should release more details about the Game especially for PC .
I would hate to think that this would be a no DVD job ? and a Loader with the pay monthly option for on-line play like some that have gone before :(;
if thats the case then its a no go for me ! but theres another one coming out ? as well

http://thegolfclubgame.com/
yep appologies i think it was this one thats been beta tested ?
then there system requirements , Graphics cards :(; up grades for both ? same old story.

On reflection just makes you realise how good TW 08 / 06 were with the EASO function, only 2 i have played, these other golf sims have some thing to live up to IMO

i do hope pp get there game released soon but im not holding my breath and the course desighner will need a few add ons to work like unity, i much prefer the hb studios option as there game has a solid timeline with a spring release and there course desighner looks really easy to use to generate a course, and if you spent alot of time with it im sure some people could create some real gems......http://thegolfclubgame.com/2014/01/11/intro-to-the-course-creator-2/

Theres no way that The Golf Club designer that they have shown would stack up with Course Forge... But if you want to start your own topic about that game, feel free, this topic was started to show a few pics of what can be done with PP's Course Forge.. It's not a Course Wizard type of designer, like The Golf Club is, you have to actually make your bunkers, fairways, greens, etc etc etc..

This thread wasn't started to discuss that other game anyway..

Please, no more hijacking... Thank you.. If you have something to add about this topic, feel free..

So after watching the gameplay video, will there be visible player models, or will the game consist of an invisible golfer with the golf ball appearing to fly off on its own? Looks okay for drives but very odd with putts.

? Invisible Golfer i think you mean in Gaming terms { First Person Prespective} as in Shooters Like Unreal Tournament , Quake , Battle field series.TW 08 is what they call {for the most of the time the Third person prespective view }
, have they got a server that would match the TW 08 EASO, i read some thing related to ? Steam < thats a buy in to down load / no DVD , imo not good
Watched the Game Play video , not impressed at all ,Apart from the Course Arch / Forge , EA are light years in front of this even with TW 2008, pictures are no good we can make just as good pics in 08
Long live TW 08

I'am on an ipad now otherwise i would have edited my last post.
IMO the GUI game play interface on the video is not as good as TW 06 never mind 08, it looks slow and very clumsy to use, they should come over here and ask some of us to test it,we do have the biggest golf community , the best players and Top Architects, Either that or this community with it's thousands of members approach EA to make a 2014 Golf Sim the way we like it.

Sorry if I was unclear. What I was asking is if there will be a visible third-person golfer? In the gameplay video for the game, there is no golfer model present. All you see is the golf ball from a first person perspective, you do not even see arms or club swinging. It looks okay on drives because the ball appears at your feet. But on putts the camera is pulled back and the ball appears 10 feet ahead of you, and then appears to magically take off on its own steam.

I can understand why a golf game developer would remove golfer models (easier to program). I was just wondering if this game will add golfer models later, or is this how it will look and play?
