| New here and see all the good work done creating new courses along with other items that promote better gaming immersion. My OS is Win7x64 and from what I've gleaned reading some posts that this is not the ideal OS to try and create new courses,seeing how the stock game is based on XP SP1 if I'm on the right track with that thinking; that said I tried to download Bay Hill being a newbie (read: don't look before you leap) see that donations are in order and understand that real need to keep things afloat. I'm very interested in obtaining all the courses and was wondering if (being on a fixed income[no tears])there is a minimum amount set to do so. Knowing this could get into a touchy area and would appreciate a PM on that subject I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by this discussion. |

Hi..
The minimum donation amount is set by the site owner to: 5$
After that you will be able to use the create myzip feature to download and install courses.
But even with out a donation you can perfect install the courses and libraries, some help below:
It is still possible to download and install courses without the Create Myzip feature:
You will have to download the required libraries separate (; without the myzip feature ).
Go to the course that you want to download.....on right side you will see a list of required libraries.
The libraries with a red X are libraries you didn t download before. Click one a library (;librarytext) with a red X, and download it to a location on your PC, for example download it to a folder on your desktop. Do the same for all other libraries that are marked with red X.
After that on your desktop open TWCaddie08....and choose: Install
On next popup screen you will have to browse to the downloaded libraries zipfiles. When you found one dubble click it and TWCaddie08 will install it in
TW08. Do this with all libraries you downloaded separate.
After that on the coursedownloads page, left side you will see the course download link: Coursedownload.net
Dubble click it, and download the coursefile to your pc, and also install it with TWCAddie08, same way as you installed the libraries.

To install Tw08 courses, you need automatic installer: TWCaddie08
Below is some TWCaddie08 help, when you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista.
Instructions are for Win7, but same for Win8 or Vista.
First you have to know you have win7 32..... or win7 64 installed on your PC.

when you have win7 32.... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 v1.5
when you have win7 64... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta
When you installed TWCaddie08 correct you will have TWCaddie08 icon on your desktop.
When you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista, you have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator:
On desktop right click TWCaddie08 icon and choose: Properties......Compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator
And hit: Apply |

Also don t forget to do the confidence folder fix, it is very important to do it:
When you played some courses you will see the loading times between holes are increasing, the game will become slower and slower.
Do next steps to solve the problem:
1) On desktop you will see the folder My Documents. Open this folder.
2) Inside look for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008. Open this folder and then open the folder Career
3) Inside Career open the folder Players. Inside this folder, look for your playersname folder and open it.
4) Open the folder Confidence.
5) Inside you will find these files: Hole Type.tcn and Shot Type.tcn. delete both files.
6) Important step here! Restart the TW08 game and play 1 hole on any course, then close TW08 game.
7) Go back to same Confidence folder and you will see both files are regenerated: but now they are very small in size. Now right click the Hole Type.tcn file and choose Properties. Check the box next to Read Only and click OK. Now do the same thing for the Shot Type.tcn file. |
